Twitter is one of the most powerful social media tools used today. While Twitter has fewer active members than platforms like Facebook or YouTube, the “Twittersphere” is rapidly growing. The main point of having a Twitter is to grow your online presence, in essence growing your brand. The first thing to consider when you are making your Twitter account is  if this is going to be used as a business account or a personal account? Chances are you would speak to your friends in a different way than you would prospective clients, so when you are trying to market your business, it is recommended to keep those accounts separate.

Here are 4 Tips to help your Twitter Marketing:

Authority

If you are considered an industry expert, people will  not only want to hear what you have to say, but they are going to care about your opinions. Establish yourself as an industry expert happens by publishing relevant content that your target audience would be interested in and making sure that you are up to date on industry news. It’s simple, if you're show yourself as an expert in the Real Estate space, leads will seek you out to be their agent when it is time for them to buy or sell their home.

Pictures

Did you know that tweets with images get 313% more engagement than those without? Well, now you do. The more engagement that your tweet gets, the more likely it will be to show up in your follower’s newsfeeds so try to add a picture to as many of your tweets as possible. Maybe your tweet is about a new listing in your farming area. Instead of just posting that you have a new listing or an open house, add a picture to the tweet so that you grab your followers attention. Be mindful, however, to make sure that your picture makes sense for what your tweet is about so that you don’t look silly.

Engage

Engaging with your followers is just as important as having them engage with your posts. You want to make sure that your followers feel like you care about what they have to say also. Always listen and respond back, although some tweets won't need to be responded back to. Making sure that you engage back with your followers in a timely manner is key to social successfully marketing your real estate services on Twitter.

Hashtags

Hashtags allow your content to be seen by more than just your followers so beef up your content by adding some extra hashtags in your tweets. Of course you don’t want to just add random hashtags in your tweets, but hashtags like #RealEstate or #realtor are perfectly fine to add in your tweets. Additionally, having hashtags that brand your business are great to use. #YourName or maybe your company or Brokerage’s name. When it comes to hashtags feel free to get creative! The more often you use a particular hashtag, the more of your content will be seen when Twitter users click on it.

Once you decide what you want your Twitter page to do for you and your business, the sky’s the limit. Being successful on social media requires a marketing strategy, just like anything else you execute in business. If you are able to successfully follow these four tips, your Twitter presences could be one of your top marketing tools! Happy tweeting!
