Real Estate Marketing - Generating Seller Leads on a Budget

Have you recently filed your taxes with the IRS? If you let out an audible "YIKES" after looking at your business expenses and seeing how much you spent to generate leads, then we have a few ideas that will help you save a pretty penny or two.

Real Estate Marketing - Generating Seller Leads on a Budget

Here are 5 Options for Seller Lead Generation on a Budget:

1. Facebook Groups

Utilizing Facebook Groups is a great way to build relationships and expand your network. Be sure to only join groups you have a genuine interest in, and not join groups with the intention of profitting off of the people you meet there. People you meet online happen to also be people in real life, and must be treated that way. If you join a Facebook group with a hobby you have a genuine interest in, you can start befriending other people within that community of hobbyists. Through those relationships you build, you can convert them into clients or generate referrals from those new friends.

2. Leveraging Your Existing Network

Agents should not always be focused on generating new leads. Real estate is a social job, and you should always be practicing good networking skills. Your friends and family are your biggest supporters. They are more likely to forward an email, retweet your content, or tag their friends in a Facebook or Instagram post. Don't be ashamed to let your friends and family be the proponents that drive new business in your direction!

3. Past Clients

To quote Walt Disney: "Whatever you do, do it well. Do it so well that when people see you do it they will want to come back and see you do it again and they will want to bring others to show them how well you do what you do." This quote applies to real estate agents perfectly, because you wouldn't want your past clients using another agent. Or even worse, referring their friends to other agents. To have a business that thrives off of referrals and warm leads, without having to pay for online leads, it requires regularly communicating with your sphere of influence.

4. FSBOs

Being able to dial a phone and get into a conversation with a stranger is an invaluable skill that real estate agents should possess or acquire into their skill set. These leads require putting a few hours behind a desk to convert, but they are worth it once they do.

5. Other Businesses

Finding other local businesses to partner with can help elevate your lead flow as you both can benefit from the relationship. Perhaps sending past clients to a local landscaper can become profittable, as landscapers will send leads to you. And these leads are already improving their curb appeal, making the leads of higher quality than others.

At the end of the day, you need to spend either time or money to get the results you want.
